Auditor
The County Auditor serves as the clerk of the County Commission and records and preserves the records of the Commission proceedings.

Lincoln County DOE is appointed by the County Commissioners and is responsible for discovering, listing and valuing all real property within the county for tax purposes.

Planning & Zoning
The Lincoln County Planning and Zoning Department is here to serve you and is responsible for planning, zoning, subdivisions, building code administration, and public nuisance enforcement in the rural areas within the County.

The Register of Deeds office can most appropriately be thought of as a library of local records.

Sheriff
The Sheriff is obligated to keep peace within the County: he must pursue all felons, execute warrants, and other processes as requested by the Court.

State's Attorney
The State's Attorney has the exclusive and statutory responsibility for prosecuting violations of the criminal laws of the State of South Dakota, as well as many other regulatory laws of the state and county including traffic regulations.

Treasurer
The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the collection of all taxes for the County, including real estate and special assessments as well as mobile homes.

Veterans Services
The Lincoln County Veterans Service Office educates and assists veterans, and their dependents and survivors in applying for veterans' benefits including benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of South Dakota.
